This cushion cover for 45cm cushion is crafted using a lavish amount of fabric equivalent to two cushions. Produced in the renowned textile region of Enshu, known as one of Japan's top three cotton weaving areas, the fabric is woven with high-density using Cotton 40 yarn for both the warp and weft.
No mechanical pressure or tension is applied during the small-batch, handcrafted process, resulting in a unique firmness and a washed-out texture. Both the front and back are made by layering two pieces of fabric, creating an accent with the overlap of four layers on each side.
The patchwork, featuring large curves, is meticulously created by the designer from cutting to sewing, and individual pieces may vary.
